1.Welcome to Greetap and Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service are a legally binding agreement between you and Greetap concerning your access to and use of Greetap websites, web applications, mobile applications when available, account dashboards, digital profile pages, QR based sharing tools, NFC enabled Greetap devices, activation services, subscription features, analytics, contact exchange tools, support services, and other individual user features that Greetap makes available from time to time. In these Terms, Greetap is referred to as Greetap, we, us, or our, and the products and services covered by these Terms are referred to collectively as the Services.
By creating an account, purchasing or activating a Greetap device, starting a paid subscription, accessing a Greetap profile, using a Greetap sharing feature, or otherwise using the Services, you confirm that you have read these Terms, understand them, and agree to be bound by them. If you are using Greetap on behalf of a company, organization, client, or another person, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on that party's behalf. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not create an account or continue using the Services.
These Terms should be read together with the Greetap Privacy Policy, any product specific terms presented at the time of purchase, any posted return or shipping policy, any acceptable use or community standards that Greetap publishes, and any additional terms presented for a particular feature. When a supplemental term directly conflicts with these Terms for a specific feature, the supplemental term will control only for that specific feature to the extent of the conflict.
2.About Greetap and the Current Scope of the Services
Greetap provides technology that helps people create, manage, and share a digital professional or personal profile. A Greetap profile may include a name, photograph, biography, contact details, business information, social links, websites, payment links, portfolio links, scheduling links, media, and other information selected by the account holder. Users may share profiles through a web link, QR code, supported wallet feature, or a Greetap physical product containing compatible NFC technology. A person receiving a Greetap profile generally does not need to own a Greetap device in order to view the profile in a compatible browser.
Greetap may offer a free plan and one or more paid individual plans. Features, limits, storage, profile customization options, analytics, lead collection tools, device allowances, and other entitlements may differ by plan and may change over time. Greetap may also sell Greetap branded physical products directly through its website or another authorized sales channel. Those direct product sales are covered by the purchase related provisions of these Terms.
As of the effective date of these Terms, Greetap Teams, the future in platform Greetap Store feature, and Greetap Events are not part of the Services covered by this agreement. References to a Greetap product purchase concern Greetap branded hardware sold by Greetap and do not refer to the future Greetap Store feature through which users may eventually be able to sell or promote products. Greetap may update these Terms or publish separate supplemental terms before any future Teams, Store, Events, enterprise, marketplace, ticketing, commerce, or similar functionality is released.
3.Eligibility and Age Requirements
You may use Greetap only if you are legally permitted to do so where you live. You must be at least thirteen years old to create an individual Greetap account. If the law where you live requires a higher minimum age for an online service or for you to consent to processing of your personal information, that higher age applies. If you are under the age at which you can enter a binding contract in your jurisdiction, you may use Greetap only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian who accepts responsibility for your use of the Services.
Certain Greetap features may be limited to users who are eighteen years old or older, particularly where a feature involves a paid subscription, financial functionality, legally restricted content, contractual commitments, or another activity for which the law requires adult status. Greetap may ask for age information or take reasonable steps to confirm eligibility when required by law, when necessary to protect users, or when a feature has an age restriction.
Greetap is not designed for children under thirteen and does not permit children under thirteen to create accounts. If we learn that an account was created by a child below the permitted age, we may suspend or delete the account and related information as required by applicable law. Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided information to Greetap in violation of these requirements should contact Greetap Support.
4.Creating and Maintaining Your Account
To use account based features, you must provide information that is accurate, current, and complete. Depending on the feature, this may include your name, email address, username, password, profile information, billing information, shipping information, or other details reasonably needed to provide the Services. You agree to keep information associated with your account updated so that Greetap can provide account notices, security messages, billing communications, and other important information.
Your account is personal to you unless Greetap expressly permits another arrangement. You may not sell, rent, transfer, assign, or provide permanent control of your account to another person without written permission from Greetap. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account to the extent permitted by law, including activity by anyone whom you allow to access the account. If you create an account for a business or client, you are responsible for ensuring that you have appropriate authority and that the information and content you publish are authorized by that business or client.
Greetap may require additional verification when an account shows unusual activity, when ownership is disputed, when a username or brand identity is challenged, when a payment presents a fraud risk, or when verification is reasonably necessary to protect Greetap, the user, or another person. Verification may include confirming access to an email address, payment method, linked account, domain, or other information reasonably related to the account.
5.Account Security and Unauthorized Access
You are responsible for taking reasonable steps to secure your account credentials and devices. You should use a strong password, avoid reusing passwords across unrelated services, protect access to the email account used for recovery, and sign out of shared devices. You must not intentionally disclose authentication credentials to a person who is not authorized to use your account. Greetap may provide additional security controls over time, but the availability of a particular security feature does not transfer responsibility for ordinary account security away from you.
If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, your credentials have been compromised, or a device associated with your account has been lost or stolen, you should promptly change your credentials where possible and contact Greetap Support. Greetap may temporarily restrict access, revoke sessions, disable devices, reset credentials, or take other reasonable protective steps while investigating suspected unauthorized activity.
Greetap will never require you to provide your password through an unsolicited message. You are responsible for evaluating communications that claim to be from Greetap and for reporting suspected phishing or impersonation. We are not responsible for loss caused by your disclosure of credentials to an unauthorized person, except to the extent that applicable law assigns responsibility to Greetap.
6.Usernames, Profile Addresses, and Public Identity
Greetap may allow you to select a username, profile address, display name, or similar public identifier. These identifiers are licensed for use with the Services and are not sold to you as property. Greetap may reject, reserve, reclaim, rename, or reassign an identifier when reasonably necessary to address infringement, impersonation, fraud, security, inactive or abandoned accounts, technical conflicts, legal requirements, or misleading use. Greetap will generally try to provide notice when practical, but urgent situations may require immediate action.
You may not select an identifier that falsely suggests affiliation with another person or organization, violates intellectual property or publicity rights, is intended to deceive others, or is otherwise unlawful. Possession of a trademark or business name does not automatically guarantee a particular Greetap username, but Greetap may consider documented rights and relevant context when reviewing disputes.
Because Greetap profiles are designed for sharing, information you intentionally place on a public profile can be seen, copied, saved, indexed, photographed, recorded, or redistributed by people and services outside Greetap. You should publish only information you are comfortable making available to the audience that can access your profile.
7.Your Greetap Profile and Public Visibility
A Greetap profile is intended to function as a digital identity and sharing page. Unless Greetap provides and you activate a privacy control that limits access, your profile may be publicly accessible to anyone who has the profile link, scans the QR code, taps an activated Greetap device, receives a shared wallet pass, follows an external link to the profile, or discovers the profile through a search or referral source. Public profile content may also be indexed by search engines or other third party services depending on their independent practices.
You control the content you choose to publish, but you are responsible for understanding the practical consequences of making contact information public. A phone number, email address, home or business address, social account, payment handle, scheduling link, or similar detail may be used by people outside your intended audience after it is published. Greetap does not promise that deletion from your profile will delete copies already saved or independently collected by other people or services.
Greetap may provide preview tools, visibility controls, link settings, or other settings intended to help you understand what visitors see. These tools are provided for convenience, and you remain responsible for reviewing your live profile after changes are made. Differences among browsers, operating systems, device sizes, third party integrations, caching systems, or accessibility settings may affect how a profile appears.
8.NFC Devices, QR Codes, and Device Activation
Greetap physical products may contain an NFC component, QR code, printed identifier, or other method that directs a compatible device to a Greetap activation page or profile. The NFC component normally functions as a short range method for transmitting or opening a web address or identifier. A Greetap NFC product is not a payment card, identity credential, access control credential, or secure authentication token unless Greetap expressly states otherwise for a specific product.
Activation may associate a Greetap product or token with your account or profile. You are responsible for confirming that you are activating the correct device and profile. You may not knowingly activate, claim, modify, overwrite, clone, tamper with, or redirect a Greetap device that belongs to another person without authorization. Greetap may disable or reassign an activation token when necessary to resolve ownership issues, fraud, unauthorized duplication, product returns, manufacturing errors, or security concerns.
NFC behavior depends on the receiving phone, operating system, browser, settings, antenna placement, protective case, network connection, and manufacturer implementation. QR scanning depends on camera permissions, lighting, image quality, and compatible software. Greetap therefore does not guarantee that every phone will detect every tap or scan in every circumstance. A device that does not respond to NFC may still be shareable through a printed QR code or direct profile link where those alternatives are available.
9.Device Ownership, Loss, Transfer, and Unlinking
Physical ownership of a Greetap product and digital control of the profile associated with that product are separate concepts. Purchasing a physical product gives you ownership of the tangible item, subject to applicable law, but it does not transfer ownership of Greetap software, activation systems, domains, tokens, or platform technology. The profile and associated account remain governed by these Terms.
If you give, sell, or permanently transfer a Greetap device to another person, you are responsible for removing or unlinking your profile before transfer when the product supports unlinking. You should not transfer a device while it still directs visitors to information that you no longer intend to share. Greetap may provide a reset, unlink, reclaim, or support process, but successful transfer may require verification of account or device ownership.
If a device is lost or stolen, you should unlink or disable it through available account controls or contact Greetap Support. Greetap cannot control who physically possesses a lost device or prevent a person from scanning a printed QR code that remains visible. We may take reasonable steps to disable the digital destination associated with a reported device, but we do not guarantee recovery of the physical item.
10.Contact Exchange, Lead Collection, and Information About Other People
Some individual Greetap features may allow a profile visitor to share contact details with a Greetap user, request a connection, complete a lead form, or otherwise provide information through a profile. When you enable or use such a feature, you are responsible for collecting and using information about visitors lawfully. You should provide any notice and obtain any consent required for marketing, text messages, email communications, customer relationship management, or other follow up activities.
You may not use Greetap to collect highly sensitive information that is not reasonably necessary for professional networking or the stated purpose of the form. Unless Greetap expressly provides a feature designed for such information, you must not request or store passwords, full payment card credentials, government identification numbers, medical records, precise real time location histories, biometric templates, or other information whose unauthorized disclosure could create serious harm.
If you upload or enter information about another person, including a business card scan, contact record, note, or lead, you represent that you have a lawful basis to do so and will use the information in accordance with applicable privacy, communications, and marketing laws. Greetap provides tools that may help organize information, but Greetap does not become responsible for your independent communications with the person after you obtain their information.
11.Analytics and Performance Information
Greetap may provide analytics such as profile views, taps, scans, link clicks, referral information, device or browser categories, approximate geographic information, or other engagement metrics. Analytics are intended to help users understand general interaction with their profiles and are not guaranteed to be complete, exact, or suitable for financial, legal, employment, advertising billing, scientific, or compliance decisions.
Analytics can be affected by browser privacy settings, blocked cookies, network routing, automated traffic, shared devices, cached pages, security tools, duplicate interactions, delayed processing, third party outages, and other technical conditions. Greetap may filter suspected bots, fraudulent traffic, or repeated events, and may change analytics methods as the platform develops. Historical figures may therefore change when Greetap corrects data, improves detection, or updates measurement logic.
You may not use analytics to unlawfully profile, discriminate against, stalk, or identify a person who has not chosen to identify themselves. You also may not represent Greetap analytics as independently audited measurements unless Greetap has expressly confirmed that status in writing.
12.Free Plans, Paid Plans, Trials, and Promotional Access
Greetap may offer free access, paid individual subscriptions, trials, promotional periods, discount codes, or limited feature programs. The features included in each plan are those described in the product interface or purchase page at the time you subscribe, subject to reasonable changes described in these Terms. A free plan may have limits on profiles, devices, customization, analytics history, storage, exports, advanced features, or other functionality.
A trial or promotional offer may have eligibility requirements and may be limited to one use per person, payment method, household, device, or account. If a trial converts to a paid subscription, Greetap will disclose the conversion and billing terms during enrollment as required by applicable law. You are responsible for cancelling before the stated renewal date if you do not want the paid subscription to begin or continue.
Greetap may refuse, revoke, or correct a promotional offer that was obtained through fraud, duplicate account creation, code abuse, technical error, or use inconsistent with the stated offer conditions. Any change will be applied in a manner consistent with mandatory consumer protection laws.
13.Subscription Billing and Automatic Renewal
When you purchase a recurring Greetap subscription, you authorize Greetap or its payment processor to charge the payment method associated with your account for the subscription price and applicable taxes at the start of each billing period until you cancel. Billing frequency may be monthly, annual, or another period clearly disclosed when you subscribe. The renewal date is generally based on the date your paid plan begins, subject to adjustments required for processing, app store billing, free trials, or calendar differences.
Subscription prices may change. If a price change applies to an existing recurring subscription, Greetap will provide advance notice when required by law and will identify when the new price will take effect. If you do not agree with the new price, you may cancel before the applicable renewal. Continuing the subscription after the effective date of a properly disclosed price change authorizes billing at the new price to the extent permitted by law.
If a payment fails, Greetap or its processor may retry the payment, request an updated payment method, limit paid features, or place the subscription in a temporary grace period. You remain responsible for amounts validly due before cancellation or termination. Greetap may use account credits or promotional balances in accordance with the terms under which they were issued.
14.Cancellation, Downgrades, and Refunds
You may cancel a Greetap recurring subscription through the billing controls made available for your account or through the third party platform that processed the subscription. Unless a different rule is presented at purchase or required by law, cancellation stops future renewal and your paid features remain available through the end of the already paid billing period. After that period, the account may convert to the available free plan and features exceeding free plan limits may become unavailable.
Subscription payments are generally nonrefundable once a billing period begins, except where applicable law requires a refund, where Greetap expressly offers a refund right, or where Greetap determines that a refund is appropriate because of a billing error or exceptional service issue. This rule does not limit any mandatory cancellation, cooling off, or refund right available under consumer law in your jurisdiction.
If you subscribed through Apple, Google, or another third party marketplace, that platform may control cancellation and refund processing under its own rules. Greetap may not have the technical ability to issue a refund for a transaction controlled entirely by that platform. You are responsible for following the platform's cancellation process in addition to deleting or stopping use of a Greetap account.
15.Taxes and Billing Information
Prices may be stated before or after applicable taxes depending on location, sales channel, and legal requirements. You are responsible for taxes, duties, levies, or similar governmental charges associated with your purchase or subscription except taxes imposed on Greetap's net income. Greetap or its payment processor may collect sales tax, use tax, value added tax, goods and services tax, or similar amounts when legally required.
You agree to provide accurate billing information and to promptly update information that changes. Greetap may correct an obvious pricing or tax error before fulfillment or renewal, and if a correction materially increases the amount charged for a transaction that has not yet been completed, Greetap will provide a reasonable opportunity to cancel where required by law.
16.Direct Purchases of Greetap Physical Products
Greetap may directly sell branded cards, tags, stickers, or other NFC or QR enabled products. Product descriptions, images, dimensions, finishes, colors, materials, and packaging are intended to reasonably describe the item but minor variations may occur because of manufacturing processes, screen settings, material batches, printing tolerances, or product improvements. A variation that does not materially impair normal function is not necessarily a defect.
By placing an order, you offer to purchase the identified product at the price shown at checkout. An automated order confirmation does not necessarily mean that Greetap has accepted the order. Greetap may decline or cancel an order before shipment for reasons such as inventory error, suspected fraud, payment failure, pricing error, shipping restrictions, export restrictions, or an inability to fulfill the order. If Greetap cancels a paid order before fulfillment, Greetap will arrange a refund of the amount collected for the cancelled item.
Physical products may require activation through the Greetap service. The purchase price of a device does not include a promise that every current or future paid software feature will be included permanently. Unless a product page expressly states otherwise, software plan entitlements and physical product ownership are separate.
17.Shipping, Delivery, Title, and Risk of Loss
Shipping options, estimated delivery times, and charges are displayed when available during checkout. Delivery estimates are not guarantees because carriers, customs authorities, severe weather, incorrect addresses, security events, labor disruptions, and other circumstances outside Greetap's reasonable control can affect delivery. You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address and for any additional instructions required by the carrier.
Title and risk of loss for a physical product pass as required by applicable law and the terms presented at purchase. Where the law allows the parties to agree otherwise, risk of loss generally passes when the product is delivered to the address or person designated in the order. International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, brokerage charges, or restrictions that are not included in the purchase price unless Greetap clearly states otherwise.
If a package appears lost, damaged, or misdelivered, you should contact Greetap Support within a reasonable period and provide requested order information. Greetap may work with the carrier, request photographs or other evidence of damage, and provide a replacement, refund, or other remedy when appropriate and legally required.
18.Returns, Product Defects, and Mandatory Consumer Rights
Returns and exchanges are governed by the return policy displayed on Greetap's website or at the point of purchase. Any return period or eligibility condition stated by Greetap operates in addition to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. A user may be required to provide proof of purchase and return the product in the condition reasonably required by the posted policy, except where the item is defective and applicable law provides a different remedy.
If a physical Greetap product has a manufacturing defect that prevents normal activation or ordinary NFC or QR use, contact Greetap Support. Greetap may troubleshoot the issue, request information about the receiving phone or activation process, or provide an available remedy under the applicable return policy, written warranty, or consumer law. Damage caused by unauthorized modification, intentional destruction, improper use, extreme environmental exposure, or alteration of the NFC component may fall outside voluntary return or warranty coverage.
Nothing in these Terms limits legal guarantees, implied warranties, or statutory remedies that cannot be waived under the law of your state, province, country, or territory.
19.Your Content and Your Responsibility for It
You retain ownership of text, photographs, logos, graphics, links, videos, documents, contact information, and other material that you upload, enter, publish, or otherwise provide through Greetap, to the extent you had ownership rights before providing it. You are solely responsible for your content and for ensuring that you have all permissions needed to publish it and allow Greetap to process it as necessary to provide the Services.
You represent that your content does not infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, contractual, or other rights; does not misrepresent your identity, qualifications, business, products, services, or affiliations; and does not contain unlawful material or malicious code. You are responsible for information about another person that you choose to publish, including photographs, contact details, testimonials, or professional information, and you must obtain consent where required.
Greetap does not endorse user content merely because it appears on a Greetap profile. Users and visitors must independently evaluate claims, external links, businesses, payment destinations, services, products, or credentials presented through a profile. Greetap may remove or restrict content as described in these Terms but is not required to review every profile before publication.
20.License You Give Greetap to Operate the Services
You grant Greetap a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, transmit, and technically modify your content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, and provide the Services you request. This license allows Greetap to resize an image, create a thumbnail, generate a preview, cache a profile, format data for a wallet pass, deliver content through a content delivery network, create a contact file, or make other technical changes that do not materially change the meaning of your content.
The license includes the right to permit Greetap service providers to process content solely to provide services to Greetap. The license ends when the content is deleted from active Greetap systems, except that copies may remain temporarily in backups, logs, security systems, legal archives, or caches as described in the Privacy Policy and as permitted by law.
Greetap does not obtain ownership of your content through this license. Greetap will not use a private item of content in external advertising that identifies you without additional permission unless the use is necessary to provide the service you requested, to respond to your public support communication, or is otherwise permitted by law.
21.Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct
You may use Greetap for lawful professional, personal, creative, networking, and business purposes consistent with these Terms. You may not use the Services in a way that harms another person, compromises platform security, interferes with normal operation, abuses shared resources, or creates legal risk for Greetap or other users.
Without limiting that principle, the following conduct is prohibited. Greetap may consider context, severity, intent, likelihood of harm, and applicable law when determining whether conduct violates this section.
21.1 Prohibited conduct
You may not use Greetap to engage in fraud, impersonation, phishing, deceptive schemes, unlawful discrimination, threats, harassment, stalking, exploitation, or the promotion of unlawful activity. You may not publish content that unlawfully exposes another person's private information, infringes intellectual property, facilitates malware or credential theft, or is designed to evade security controls.
You may not use automated systems to create accounts, scrape profiles, harvest contact information, send unsolicited communications, overload the service, probe for vulnerabilities, circumvent rate limits, bypass access controls, reverse engineer protected software except where law expressly permits, or interfere with another user's access. You may not copy or resell Greetap software, databases, profile templates, activation technology, or analytics as a competing service without authorization.
You may not use a Greetap profile to distribute sexual exploitation material involving minors, nonconsensual intimate imagery, content that unlawfully promotes violence against a person or protected group, or other content that Greetap is legally required to remove or restrict. Greetap may maintain more detailed Community Standards and reporting procedures that form part of these Terms when published.
22.External Links, Social Platforms, Payment Links, and Third Party Services
Greetap is designed to connect visitors to websites and services selected by a profile owner. External destinations may include social platforms, portfolio sites, scheduling tools, payment services, online stores, messaging services, streaming services, review sites, or other services that Greetap does not own or control. A link appearing on a Greetap profile does not mean that Greetap endorses the destination or verifies its claims, security, availability, legality, or privacy practices.
When you leave Greetap or interact with an embedded or connected third party feature, the third party's terms and privacy practices may apply. Greetap is not responsible for a third party changing a link, suspending an account, refusing a transaction, collecting information, experiencing an outage, or causing a loss, except to the extent applicable law makes Greetap responsible.
If Greetap offers an integration that allows you to connect an external account, you authorize Greetap to exchange the information and instructions reasonably necessary for the integration. You are responsible for maintaining permission to use the external account and for complying with the third party's rules.
23.Wallet Features and Platform Integrations
Where available, Greetap may allow a user to add a profile card, QR code, or related pass to a wallet service provided by Apple, Google, or another platform. Wallet availability depends on the device, operating system, geographic region, third party eligibility rules, and technical requirements. Greetap does not control the wallet provider and cannot guarantee that a pass will remain available after a provider changes its software, policies, or supported formats.
Your use of a third party wallet is also subject to the provider's terms. A wallet pass is a sharing convenience and should not be treated as government identification, a financial credential, or proof of professional licensing unless the relevant authority expressly recognizes it for that purpose.
24.Intellectual Property Owned by Greetap
The Services, including Greetap software, source and object code, platform design, databases, activation systems, visual interface elements, graphics, templates, product designs, logos, trademarks, service marks, documentation, and other materials created by or licensed to Greetap are protected by intellectual property and other laws. Except for the limited right to use the Services under these Terms, no ownership interest is transferred to you.
Subject to these Terms, Greetap grants you a personal, limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to access and use the Services for their intended purpose during the period that your account is authorized. You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, sell, sublicense, lease, create a competing derivative platform from, or otherwise commercially exploit Greetap intellectual property unless Greetap has given written permission or applicable law expressly allows the activity.
Greetap names, logos, product names, trade dress, and other brand elements may not be used in a way that suggests sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, certification, or affiliation without written permission. You may accurately state that you use Greetap or link to your Greetap profile in ordinary descriptive use.
25.Copyright and Intellectual Property Complaints
Greetap respects intellectual property rights and may remove or disable access to content that is alleged to infringe copyright or other rights. A rights holder should provide enough information for Greetap to identify the protected work, locate the allegedly infringing material, understand the basis of the claim, and contact the reporting party. For a United States copyright notice intended to comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, the notice should include the elements required by applicable law, including a statement of good faith, a statement under penalty of perjury regarding accuracy and authority, and the reporting party's physical or electronic signature.
A user whose content has been removed may be permitted to submit a counter notice where applicable law provides that right. Greetap may terminate accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. Greetap will publish or maintain the appropriate reporting channel and any required designated agent information for formal notices.
26.Privacy, Data Protection, and Your Responsibilities
Greetap's collection and use of personal information as a controller are described in the Greetap Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you acknowledge that public profile information will be processed and displayed according to your settings and instructions. You should review the Privacy Policy before publishing personal information or enabling contact collection features.
When you independently collect information from profile visitors or use information received through Greetap for your own marketing, sales, recruiting, networking, or business purposes, you may have separate legal obligations as a controller or business. Those obligations can include providing a privacy notice, honoring data rights, obtaining consent for certain communications, limiting collection, securing information, and deleting information when no longer needed. Greetap does not provide legal compliance advice to users and does not assume your independent obligations.
27.Communications from Greetap
You agree that Greetap may send service related communications electronically, including account verification, security alerts, device activation notices, billing receipts, subscription notices, legal updates, support responses, and information about material changes to the Services. These communications are part of operating your account, and you may not be able to opt out of communications that are necessary to provide the Services or comply with law while maintaining an active account.
Greetap may also send marketing communications where permitted by law. You may opt out of promotional email using the unsubscribe method provided in the message or through available account preferences. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional or service communications. Message and data rates imposed by your carrier may apply to text communications if you separately consent to receive them.
28.Beta, Preview, Experimental, and New Features
Greetap may occasionally provide features identified as beta, preview, early access, experimental, test, or similar. These features may be incomplete, may change without notice, may have limited support, and may contain errors. You should not rely on a preview feature for a critical workflow unless Greetap expressly states that it is production ready.
Feedback you voluntarily provide about Greetap may be used by Greetap without restriction or payment, provided that Greetap will not publicly attribute confidential feedback to you without permission. Feedback does not transfer ownership of your unrelated intellectual property or content.
29.Changes to Features and Service Availability
Greetap is an evolving service. We may add, modify, improve, reorganize, limit, replace, or discontinue a feature in order to improve usability, address security or legal requirements, respond to third party changes, manage costs, or develop the platform. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice when a change materially reduces a core paid feature during an active subscription period and when advance notice is practical.
No particular feature, interface, integration, device type, profile theme, analytics metric, or third party connection is guaranteed to remain available forever. If a change materially affects a paid subscription, remedies will be determined according to applicable law, the circumstances of the change, and any specific commitment Greetap made at purchase.
30.Service Maintenance, Outages, and Technical Limitations
Greetap aims to provide reliable service but does not promise uninterrupted or error free availability. Scheduled maintenance, emergency maintenance, software defects, hosting incidents, internet failures, cyberattacks, third party outages, domain or certificate issues, device incompatibility, power failures, or events outside Greetap's reasonable control may temporarily affect access.
Greetap may take the Services or a feature offline when reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate abuse, prevent data loss, apply updates, respond to legal obligations, or restore system integrity. Where practical, Greetap may provide a status notice or support update, but a failure to provide advance notice does not create liability when the interruption was unexpected or urgent.
31.Suspension, Restriction, and Termination by Greetap
Greetap may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when we reasonably believe that an account violates these Terms, creates a security or fraud risk, infringes another person's rights, repeatedly fails payment, is required to be restricted by law, is associated with unlawful content, abuses platform resources, or threatens the safety or integrity of the Services. The response may range from removal of specific content to temporary restrictions or permanent termination depending on severity and history.
When practical and legally permitted, Greetap will attempt to provide notice and an opportunity to correct a less serious violation. Immediate action may be necessary for fraud, compromised accounts, illegal content, credible threats, exploitation, malware, severe abuse, court orders, or other urgent circumstances. Greetap may preserve information when reasonably necessary for an investigation, legal claim, law enforcement request, security purpose, or recordkeeping obligation.
Termination does not erase payment obligations that accrued before termination and does not automatically create a refund right. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
32.Closing Your Account
You may stop using Greetap at any time and may request account deletion through available account controls or Greetap Support. Before deleting an account, you should cancel any recurring subscription through the channel that processes the subscription and export information you wish to keep where export tools are available. Deleting a Greetap account may not cancel a subscription managed by an app store or another independent billing provider.
Account deletion can permanently remove profiles, configuration, analytics history, contact records, device associations, and other information from active systems, subject to the retention practices described in the Privacy Policy. Greetap may be unable to restore deleted information after a deletion request is completed. A physical Greetap device that still contains a printed QR code or programmed destination may require unlinking or reactivation before it can be reused.
33.Third Party Beneficiaries and App Store Terms
If you download a Greetap application through an app marketplace, the marketplace provider may have additional terms that apply to the download, installation, payment, refund, or device permissions. These Terms are between you and Greetap, not the marketplace provider, except to the extent the marketplace terms expressly create rights for that provider as a third party beneficiary.
Greetap, rather than an app marketplace, is responsible for the Greetap application and its support to the extent required by applicable platform rules. The marketplace provider is not responsible for user content or for claims that are legally Greetap's responsibility, except as the provider's own terms or law state otherwise.
34.Export Controls, Sanctions, and Geographic Restrictions
The Services may be subject to United States export control, sanctions, and trade laws as well as laws in other jurisdictions. You may not use, export, reexport, transfer, or provide the Services in violation of applicable trade restrictions. You represent that you are not using Greetap in a manner prohibited by sanctions or export laws that apply to you or Greetap.
Greetap may restrict availability in a country or region when required by law, when payment or infrastructure services are unavailable, or when Greetap determines that it cannot reasonably provide the Services there. The fact that a profile is accessible from a location does not mean that Greetap is offering every product or paid feature in that location.
35.No Professional Advice and User Decisions
Greetap is a networking and digital profile service. Information displayed through a profile is provided by users and should not be treated as legal, financial, medical, employment, licensing, credentialing, or other professional advice from Greetap. A badge, design element, profile field, or link does not mean that Greetap has independently verified a user's qualifications unless Greetap expressly labels a specific verification process and describes what was verified.
You are responsible for decisions made based on information obtained through Greetap. Before entering a contract, sending money, hiring a person, sharing confidential information, or relying on a professional claim, you should perform whatever independent verification is appropriate for the situation.
36.Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Services and Greetap physical products are provided on an as available basis, subject to any express written product warranty and mandatory consumer rights. Greetap does not make an implied promise that the Services will always be uninterrupted, completely secure, free of errors, compatible with every device, or suitable for every particular business purpose.
Greetap does not warrant the accuracy or reliability of user content, external links, profile claims, analytics estimates, third party integrations, search engine indexing, wallet availability, carrier performance, or external payment destinations. Any implied warranty that cannot legally be excluded remains in effect only to the extent required by applicable law.
37.Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Greetap and its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, business opportunity, goodwill, data, or anticipated savings arising from or related to the Services, even if the possibility of such loss was known. This limitation does not apply where the law does not allow the relevant category of damages to be limited.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Greetap's aggregate liability for claims arising from or related to the Services during any twelve month period will not exceed the greater of one hundred United States dollars or the amount you paid directly to Greetap for the Services giving rise to the claim during the twelve months before the event giving rise to liability. For a claim concerning a physical product, mandatory product liability and consumer protection rights remain unaffected.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations. In those jurisdictions, these provisions apply only to the extent legally permitted and your statutory rights remain available.
38.Indemnification for Business and Misuse Claims
If you use Greetap on behalf of a business, organization, or for commercial activity, you agree, to the extent permitted by law, to defend, indemnify, and hold Greetap harmless from third party claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from your unlawful content, your infringement of another person's rights, your independent collection or misuse of visitor information, your products or services, or your material breach of these Terms.
This indemnity does not require a consumer to indemnify Greetap for Greetap's own negligence, unlawful conduct, or responsibility that cannot legally be transferred. Greetap will provide reasonable notice of an indemnified claim and may control the defense where appropriate, while allowing reasonable participation by the indemnifying party.
39.Dispute Resolution and Informal Resolution Process
Before either party begins formal proceedings concerning a dispute that can reasonably be resolved informally, the party raising the dispute should send a written notice describing the issue, relevant account or transaction, requested resolution, and contact information. The parties agree to make a good faith effort for at least thirty days to resolve the dispute. This informal process does not prevent either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief where delay could cause immediate harm.
Nothing in this section limits a consumer's right to contact a regulator, attorney general, privacy authority, consumer protection agency, or other government body. It also does not require a person to delay a claim when a legal filing deadline would otherwise expire.
40.Arbitration Agreement for United States Users
This arbitration section applies to users in the United States only to the extent permitted by law. Except for eligible small claims matters, requests for temporary or preliminary injunctive relief, intellectual property claims seeking protection against unauthorized use, and disputes that applicable law does not permit to be arbitrated, you and Greetap agree that a dispute arising from these Terms or the Services will be resolved through individual binding arbitration governed by the Federal Arbitration Act.
Arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association under the consumer rules or other applicable rules in effect when the arbitration is filed, unless the parties agree to another recognized provider. The arbitrator may award the same individual remedies that a court could award, subject to these Terms and applicable law. The location and method of the hearing will be determined under the applicable rules, with reasonable accommodations for consumer claims.
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending Greetap a written arbitration opt out notice through the legal contact channel identified by Greetap within thirty days after you first accept these Terms. The notice must identify the account and clearly state that you are opting out of arbitration. Opting out of arbitration does not affect the remainder of the Terms.
41.Class Action and Jury Trial Waiver for United States Users
To the extent permitted by law and subject to a valid arbitration agreement, disputes must be brought on an individual basis and not as a plaintiff or class member in a class, collective, consolidated, representative, or private attorney general proceeding. An arbitrator may provide relief only to the individual party seeking relief and only to the extent necessary to resolve that person's claim.
Where a dispute proceeds in court rather than arbitration, you and Greetap waive trial by jury to the extent that waiver is legally enforceable. If applicable law does not permit a particular waiver, the waiver will not apply to that claim and the remainder of this section will continue to apply.
42.Governing Law and Courts
These Terms and any dispute not subject to arbitration are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of the arbitration agreement and mandatory consumer laws in your place of residence remain applicable where they cannot be waived.
For a dispute that must be heard in court and for which applicable law permits the parties to choose a forum, the parties consent to the state and federal courts located in Delaware. A consumer who has a nonwaivable right to bring a claim in the courts of the consumer's home jurisdiction may exercise that right. Users outside the United States may also have mandatory local rights concerning governing law, forum, and dispute procedures that these Terms do not override.
43.Changes to These Terms
Greetap may update these Terms to reflect new features, legal requirements, security practices, business changes, or improvements in clarity. The updated version will identify a new effective date. For changes that materially reduce user rights or materially increase user obligations, Greetap will provide advance notice when required by law and when reasonably practical through email, account notice, website notice, or another appropriate method.
Your continued use of the Services after revised Terms become effective means that you accept the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires a different form of consent. If you do not agree to a material change, you may stop using the Services and close your account, subject to outstanding payment obligations and applicable cancellation rules.
44.Future Greetap Teams, Store, Events, and Other New Services
Greetap expects that the platform may expand. The current version of these Terms intentionally does not govern the future Greetap Teams product, the future in platform Greetap Store feature, or Greetap Events because those offerings have not launched as of the effective date. Greetap is not making a contractual promise in these Terms about the release date, pricing, feature set, eligibility, or availability of any future service.
Before or when a future service launches, Greetap may update these Terms, publish supplemental terms, enter a separate business agreement, or require a new acceptance. Future terms may address organization administrators, employee accounts, bulk device management, marketplace sellers, buyer protection, payments and payouts, event registration, ticketing, attendee information, team data processing, or other matters that do not apply to the current individual service.
45.Assignment, Corporate Transactions, and Successors
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without Greetap's written consent, except where applicable law gives you a nonwaivable right. Greetap may assign these Terms to an affiliate or successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, sale of assets, or transfer of the business that operates the Services, provided that the successor remains bound by applicable legal obligations.
A corporate transaction may also involve transfer of information as described in the Privacy Policy. Greetap will provide notice where required by law.
46.Force Majeure
Neither party is responsible for delay or failure caused by an event beyond its reasonable control when the affected party uses reasonable efforts to reduce the impact. Events may include natural disasters, severe weather, war, terrorism, civil disturbance, labor disruption, widespread internet or telecommunications failure, cloud infrastructure failure, government action, public health emergency, embargo, power failure, or a major cyber incident not caused by the affected party's failure to use reasonable safeguards.
This provision does not excuse payment obligations for Services already provided and does not remove consumer rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
47.Severability, Waiver, and Interpretation
If a court or arbitrator with authority determines that a provision of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, the provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted or, where necessary, severed, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. If Greetap does not enforce a provision in one instance, that does not waive the right to enforce it later.
Section headings are provided for convenience and do not limit the meaning of a provision. Words such as including and for example are illustrative and do not limit the general language that comes before them. A reference to law includes amendments and successor provisions where appropriate.
48.Entire Agreement and Order of Priority
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any applicable supplemental terms form the complete agreement between you and Greetap regarding the Services covered by them and replace prior oral or written statements about the same subject, except for a separate written agreement signed by Greetap that expressly states it overrides these Terms.
If terms presented for a particular paid product, beta program, promotion, or third party billing channel conflict with these Terms, the more specific terms control only for that specific subject. Mandatory law controls over any inconsistent contractual provision.
49.Contacting Greetap
Questions about these Terms, account issues, copyright reports, arbitration opt out notices, or other legal matters should be sent through the Greetap Support or Legal contact channel published on the official Greetap website. Greetap may require reasonable verification before discussing account specific information.
Acknowledgment
By using Greetap after the effective date, you acknowledge that you have had an opportunity to read these Terms of Service and the Greetap Privacy Policy and that your use of the Services is subject to them.
